China Quanzhou Corporation for International Techno-Economic Cooperation (CQC in short ) is a state-owned comprehensive enterprise, which is approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and registered with the State Administration of Industry and Commerce. CQC engages in contracting constructional engineering, developing real estate, providing labour services overseas, managing joint venture overseas, and dealing in foreign and domestic trade.
The headquarter of CQC is located at Quanzhou city, Fujian Province, in southeast of China. Quanzhou is one of the 24 famous historical and cultural cities nominated by Chinese government. As early as 1,000 years ago, it enjoyed a reputation as the greatest seaport in the east during Song and Yuan dynasty. Quanzhou was confirmed as the starting point of the Maritime Silk Route in 1989 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). At present, the city covers an area of 10,865 square km, with 427km of coastline and a population of 7.38 million.
